Q: What is the refund policy? A: No refunds will be given after July 1.
Q: How do I apply for a scholarship to Mission u? A: You will have an opportunity to download a scholarship application after you have registered online. If you are sending in a paper registration please reach out to Rosetta Dubose ([email protected]) for a scholarship application. Q: If I am granted a scholarship, how will I know? A: You will be contacted by the scholarship coordinator within 10 days of the scholarship deadline.
Q: Does a scholarship cover travel to Arkansas Conference Mission u? A: No, a scholarship covers your room, meals, and classes while you are on campus. Travel, books, t-shirts, and the like are above and beyond the scholarship award amount.
Q: What do I need to bring with me? A: Clothing including sweater/jacket (classrooms/dorms are air conditioned), walking shoes, XL twin sheets, pillow, blanket, towels, washcloths, hand towels, personal care items (shampoo, soap, mirror, etc.), flashlight, study lamps, personal coffee/drink mug, reusable water bottle, Bible, textbooks, notebooks, devotional, tote bag.
Q: When and where is check-in? A: Attendees will check-in Wednesday, July 17 from 12:30-2:30 pm in the SLTC building. Planning Team and other support staff will check-in at a different time.
Q: Can I purchase a t-shirt upon arrival to Mission u? A: Yes, we will have a small number of t-shirts available for purchase on-site.
Q: Will golf carts be available to get from one building to another? A: Yes, we will have golf carts available for transporting between buildings. Q: Where should commuters plan to park on the Hendrix campus? A: There is ample parking available to us during our stay. We suggest you park close to the SLTC building for check-in and then find a lot close to your classroom building.
Q: Is there a campus map I can look at? A: Yes, there will be a campus map on the back cover of the program book and it's on the Forms, Dates, and Deadlines page.
Q: Who can be a responsible adult for kids or youth? A: Any adult who is either directly related to the child/youth or someone (approved by the parents/guardians) who has completed Safe Gatherings certification through ARUMC.
Q: What is the policy regarding COVID procedures? A: Our Public Health Policy is as follows:
Potential attendees should refrain from attending the event in-person if they present any health risk to others due to exposure to any communicable illnesses. A Zoom attendance option will be available.
Covid specific procedure for any attendee testing positive:

Inform these designated individuals: Dean, Assistant Dean, and their Study Leader (Or there could be a designated Covid Safety Coordinator)
Inform close contacts (those who have been less than 6 feet away from the infected person for 15+ minutes over a 24 hour period of time.
All attendees of the school will be informed of the name of the infected individuals(s) through announcements via the phone/text and email data gathered through the Mu registration. This is to assist them in a course of action as to their own health safety.
Housing
Q: Can I have a room with a private bathroom? A: Unfortunately, no. The residence halls we will be staying in during our time at Hendrix College have community-style bathrooms. They are all single-occupancy, though so you will have complete privacy.
Q: Are there facilities to do laundry while we're on campus? A: Yes, there are washers and dryers in the residence halls.
Q: What kind of beds are there? A: All of the beds have XL twin mattresses.
Q: Do we need to bring linens? A: Yes. You will need to bring towels, sheets, a pillow, blankets, etc.
Q: How many beds are in one room? A: There are single and double occupancy rooms this year. NO BEDS CAN BE MOVED INTO OR OUT OF ROOMS.
Q: Will my children be in the room with me? A: Yes. Any child 6th grade and under must stay in the room with their responsible adult. Please bring accommodations if there will be more than 2 people in the room.
Q: May older children stay in a room together? A: Yes, if they are 7th grade or higher, they can stay in a room with another youth. That room will be located near their responsible adults.
Q: Are there elevators in the residence halls? A: There are elevators in Miller Creative Quads.
Q: Will I be able to have a ground floor room? A: First floor rooms are limited. They are assigned first come, first served. Special needs requests are due June 30.
Classes & Workshops
Q: When is our first session on Wednesday? A: Opening Plenary begins at 2:45 pm on July 17.
Q: Where can I find a schedule of 2024 Mission u? A: When it is finalized it will be on the 2024 Forms, Dates, and Deadlines page.
Q: Where can I get the books for my classes? A: You must order books prior to Mission u. You can find them online from the Mission Resource Center or on Amazon.
Q: Are there elevators to get to upstairs classrooms? A: Yes. DW Reynolds and MC Reynolds both have elevators.
Q: Will I be able to pick my teacher/facilitator? A: Yes, but classes may fill quickly so register soon!
Q: I see "workshop" on the registration. What is a workshop? A: The Mission u curriculum changed two years ago. There is only one study (The Kin-dom is Among You). The rest of our time together will be spent doing missions and various workshops.
Q: Will I be able to pick what workshop I would like to attend? A: Of course! But, just like the classes, some may fill quickly.
